How we worked together
David was the visionary founder behind Geni and Yammer, and we worked together across both companies. He later became an investor in Bird. Today he is a Founder and Partner at Craft Ventures, whose portfolio spans companies including Uber, Airbnb, Anduril, Bird, and many other defining technology businesses. He is also an active co-host of the All-In Podcast.
Influence
What I learned
David's vision reinforced the idea that software can take extremely ambitious human problems and turn them into structured platforms—and that those platforms can become enduring companies. Geni's mission was one of the reasons I was so eager to join, and working across Geni and Yammer gave me a close view of how bold product ideas become organizations.

Geni — one shared family tree for humanity
David's vision for Geni was simple and enormous at the same time: everyone is related. That idea shaped the product and the engineering challenges behind building a global collaborative family graph. We later worked together at Yammer as another ambitious idea grew into a company of its own.
