Jason Fieldman
Full-stack Engineer at Triangle Health · Former iOS engineer, Bird and Snap
Relationship
How we worked together
Jason and I met at Bird after he joined from Snap, where he had built many features for the Snapchat mobile application. He led Bird's mobile transformation from an early prototype into the fast, responsive iOS platform it became. After Bird he returned to Snap, and later Justin Balthrop, Jonathan Grubb, and I convinced him to join Triangle Health.
Influence
What I learned
Jason remains one of the best mobile engineers I have worked with. At Triangle, he has expanded into a full-stack engineer by pairing with Claude and Cursor, delivering complete vertical products end to end while bringing the same product quality and engineering discipline that defined his mobile work.

My story at Bird
Jason fundamentally restructured and rebuilt Bird's iOS application, transforming it from a mostly prototype experience into a fast, responsive mobile platform. He also led the Bluetooth integration and app-to-scooter communication that connected the rider experience directly to Bird's vehicles.

Habitat — Bird’s geospatial operating system
Jason and I collaborated on how the mobile application loaded its behavior from Habitat. Most Bird app features were controlled or configured through Habitat, connecting the iOS experience to the same market, product, experiment, and policy system that governed the wider platform.

Multi-agent AI healthcare platform
Jason and I now work together again at Triangle Health, solving difficult healthcare problems across the full stack. By teaming up with Claude and Cursor, he has moved beyond mobile specialization to deliver complete product experiences from interface through backend behavior.
