I originally interviewed Prat and vouched for him to join Bird in 2018. During Bird's rapid growth, we worked together across many products. When I was an engineering manager, Prat was on my team building internal administration systems and later GovTech products from Bird's early Culver City office. He eventually moved from engineering into product management and became a Director of Product.

What I learned
Prat has an unusual talent for carrying dozens of projects at once while preserving focus, context, and memory for each one. Watching him move between complex initiatives without losing the essential details reinforced how valuable disciplined context management is in both engineering and product leadership.

Habitat — Bird’s geospatial operating system
Prat led the conceptualization and productization of Habitat's transformation from a configuration-management system into a product-launch platform.
